  • When getting the plugin Yoast.. Then you need to log into a Google account to get some kind of authentication code.

Then there are a lot of warning about using it. Things like: “companies could go in and alter the text in you blog” and things of that nature.

Is that something I should worry about when getting Yoast? That companies and third parties can alter things inside of my website?

Or is it fairly safe to use Yoast?

  • I use Yoast… I like how if will fuss about articles that need attention figuring anything that clarifies the post makes it better for all.

I really don’t care about SEO very much so I don’t worry much about the various ‘webmaster tools’. Other people differ though.

One of the things you really want from either Yoast or another plugin is the XML sitemaps.

I recommend asking at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/#new-post so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.
