Support » Plugin: Wordfence Security - Firewall & Malware Scan » Not perfect but much appreciated.

  • Unfortunately, my site was hacked, and the Wordfence plugin was intentionally (and successfully) disabled by the hack. Reinstalled and it is back up and running. Still, this plugin has been a useful tool for a long time across many sites.

    Thanks for reaching out.

Since when is manual scanning not available? You go to the Wordfence > Scan page on your site and click the big blue-green “Start New Scan” button. Pretty simple.

Because you were hacked the hackers may have added code to disrupt any security plugins from trying to find their code. But that’s speculation. Check .htaccess, wp-config.php, etc for added code.
