Getting titles from the loop into two columns

  • Hi

In short: I need to know how I can call the titles of the 2nd, 3d, 4th and 5th newest post split into two different css-columns; like this:

    2nd 4th
    3d 5th

See, I came across Bartelme.at and really liked the idea of having a lead story and then links to other new posts below in two columns and It’s no problem for me only calling the first post.

Hope somebody can tell me; going out of my mind here trying to figure it out.

  • Hi! Don’t go out of your mind, go out and play! The easiest way is probably to make css float your posts like:
    2nd 3d
    4th 5th

Example: say that your posts have a css class name of

that way it would look ok. You would have to be careful with IEs wicked box model handling, of course. I hope this helps. Read up on css float or ask again.

Tdude: What are you talking about? 🙂

Tdude: I’m with you on the CSS-part.

But say I have these two boxes. Do I start the loop (to get the post titles) inside each?

These posts… Same categories or different categories? Know how i’d do it if they were different, but the same… interesting one.

If they are different look at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/128636?replies=8
