    Hi David,

Thank you for the plugin – it tremendously increases the flexibility of wordpress!
I have got the plugin to work on a staging page but needed your help in getting the plugin to work on the live homepage. Here are the steps I followed –

    1. currently using a theme called mesocolumn (https://wordpress.org/themes/mesocolumn/)
    2. installed and activated wp-cards
    3. copied home.php and page-staging.php from the plugin/sample-files folder
    4. created a new page called staging and added a widget into the ‘cards staging area’ – this works – http://www.ajaymreddy.com/stg/staging/
    5. created a new page called home and selected it as the static page to display on front page
added widgets to ‘home page cards’ area – this does not work – http://www.ajaymreddy.com/stg

Could you please help me set the plugin up correctly?

    Ajay

Nevermind – realized that the new page i created was creating the issue. Deleted it and changed to show Blog posts in Reading Settings to get it working now.

    Hi Ajay,

Glad to hear that you were able to get the plugin working. The next release of the plugin (v1.5) will include a “card-template.php” file that will allow card design to be added to any page that uses that template.

    Hi David,

Yes, that will be fabulous – easier than editing theme files for pages and adding a dynamic sidebar. 🙂
    Thanks for the great plugin!

    Ajay
