# Getting started…add shortcode

 * I know absolutely nothing about shortcodes (and am not a coder either), but thought
   I should add one to my forum and perhaps my blog posts. I downloaded Feedzy RSS&
   installed it, no problem, then it says “add shortcode”. That is where I am stumped…
   where do I find the shortcode and how do I add it?
 * Basic question, I know. btw I am using Generate Press premium theme and wpForo1.4.6
   for my forum if that makes any difference.

    Basically shortcodes
   are a way of adding custom code inside WP posts/pages – you can read more about

   What FEEDZY RSS Feeds does is generating itself a shortcode (based on the settings
   you provide) and adding it to the desired page/post.
