    WP 4.9.8
    Easy Digital Downloads 1.0.6
    Suffusion 4.4.9 Childtheme

    General Settings

    What I Need

•Simple slide show that auto-scrolls vertically and pauses on hover
•Single-line captions centered below each centered image
•Links for each image leading to eCommerce marketing page
•Fixed slider height to prevent content below it from “jumping up and down”
    •Images must retain original dimensions

•Text entered in Slide Info dialog does not display
•Must enable “Auto-height slider” to prevent image distortion
•This setting defeats the purpose of fixed slider height

    How can I fix it?

Many thanks for your advice, Anna

Thank you for choosing Master Slider.

Please make sure you have added slide info on Slide Controls.
Also, you can set minimum height around.

Master Slider may be the right plugin for my education-intensive eCommerce site! Thanks to the screenshot illustrating fixed-height settings, I am delighted with the result so far:

Unfortunately, the one addressing display of image info < was not helpful. I have copied the original Media Library caption (maximum two lines) to the Slide Info dialog as instructed and enabled “Slide Info” as shown in the screenshot of “User Controls.”

Regardless whether I paste the text into the “visual” or “text” mode, it does not display, even after adjusting Slide Height and Slide Spacing settings in an effort to allow vertical space for it.

I have explored the documentation published at and find no specific instructions for appending text to slider images.

When visiting the suggested Support Forums, I discover that questions are restricted to patrons of the “pro” version. Since my exploration of Master Slider is still in the testing stage, I am not eligible to post.

I am a historian—not a professional web designer <LOL!>. I really need to integrate text with each image as shown on the page linked above.

What can you suggest to a medium-savvy WP user who can follow step-by-step directions? Thanks again for your hard work on this *most promising* plugin, Anna

P.S. If it is helpful, I would be glad to provide screenshots of the relevant settings.

I checked out the slide info. It has no problem.

I finally managed to find and complete the support registration dialog—the link in the pop-up does not go there… The response thanked me and instructed me to check my eMail. After 24 hrs, no message has arrived!

I also have difficulty with the registry. The Masterslider works perfectly in Gutenberg, but an update to Pro, which I wanted to give it to him and bought it, does not work. Previously, after activating Autoupdate, the plugin window showed several fields for entering name and purchase code. They are no longer available or lost when compared to the current WP versions. The support is unfortunately cumbersome and frustrating.

Thank you so much for validating my concerns! Disappointed with pre-Gutenburg Master Slider, I have turned my attention to testing another promising slider plugin.
