Ok, I’m working with a client’s website using WP 2.7. The images we used in various postings and pages were Keyword Optimized using Picasa 3. I put relevant File names and Captions into Picasa. Since WP reads this data during upload, the revelant file names were copied into the Image Post Title and Alt-Tag and the Caption was populated into the Description field of the Image Post.
In posts and pages, the Alt-tag is working fine, and the file-name is fine. However, pages and posts refer to the image itself, not the image post.
Sitemap generators are not picking up my image posts, which means Google’s crawlers probably won’t ever find the Image POSTS, because the Posts are never linked to within the page.
Is there any WordPress Sitemap plugins that will actually include the Image Posts? We probably have close to 50 Image Posts just from our pages alone, all of which have keyword rich file names, post titles, alt-tags, and description. I really need to get these image posts included in the Sitemap. Any ideas?
