  • Does anybody know how to get rid of the theme shortcodes within the event descriptions?
    like these visual composer codes:
    [vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]….
any help would be great 🙂
    Thanks so far

    Hi Sabine!

Definitely tricky to remove shortcodes in the event description, you could use the event excerpt instead perhaps:

    https://eventcalendarnewsletter.com/events-calendar-shortcode-pro-options/#excerpt

It’s a bit tricky since trying to strip the shortcodes with something like strip_shortcodes would also remove the text you likely want to keep. For example:

Some event text [vc_column_text]My column text[/vc_column_text]

    would turn into:

    Some event text

And get rid of “My column text” between the shortcode.

If others have ideas would be happy to hear!
