[Resolved] Getting rid of page links

  • Does anyone know how to get rid of the page links that appear at the top of my site:

    http://empty-purse.com

    I just want to remove them completely as they look silly and aren’t neccessary!

    Also how can I extend the image to go right across the page rather than stopping short?

    Thanks x

  • I don’t see a link to download that theme so I can only suggest that many themes use the template tag, wp_list_pages(), in the header.php file to display links to Pages.

    Thankyou! I found it, could you tell me which bit to delete please? (if that’s all I need to do?)

    Here’s the code it’s in:

    <?php wp_head(); ?>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div id=”page”>
    <div id=”header”>
    <div id=”headerlogo”>
    <h1>/”><?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?></h1>
    <div class=”description”><?php bloginfo(‘description’); ?></div>
    </div>

    <ul id=”nav”>
    <li class=”page_item”>/” title=”Home”>Home

    <?php wp_list_pages(‘sort_column=menu_order&depth=1&title_li=’);?>

    <?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . ‘/searchform.php’); ?>

    Looks like you could delete these three lines:

    <ul id="nav">
    <li class="page_item">/" title="Home">Home

    <?php wp_list_pages('sort_column=menu_order&depth=1&title_li=');?>

    But it is that last line you really want to get rid of.
