• I’ve been thinking about getting rid of NextGen Gallery for awhile, since I don’t really use it anymore. However, as best as I can tell, once I deactivate/delete NextGen Gallery, all the links to photo galleries that I created with NextGen go away. The photos are all still there but you can no longer see them on the posts with which they are affiliated.

    Is there a way to get rid of the NextGen plugin without simultaneously losing all the photos?

  • Not really, unless if you find/write code to convert the nextGen gallery into the native WP gallery. Images in each gallery system, lives in different database tables and folders.
