[resolved] Getting rid of Comments Closed next to the date after post (7 posts)

    Hey, I have learnt how to get rid of the 'comments are closed' portion of a new page. But I am having some trouble getting rid of the 'comments closed' that appears right next to the date of the post, this appears right after the head and body of the post where you'd normally see 'read more about this post' portion would be.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated :)

    Look for a code similar to this (this is from the default template):

    <?php } elseif ( !comments_open() && pings_open() ) { ?>

    There should be a few of these, stating everything from comments, pings and combined. Just removes those lines.

    This is a test site for now. But take a look at where the date is, the 'comments closed' is there.

    Hi, any assistance with this matter would be most appreciated.

    I have posted the link to the website as requested.

  6. Look for a code block something like this:

    <?php comments_popup_link('No Comments »', '1 Comment »', '% Comments »'); ?>

    in index.php in your theme and delete it. It's going to be right past <?php the_time('F jS, Y') ?> The comment code bock might be slightly different, depending on your theme design.
