This happens from time to time (every fortnight or so…) and I cannot pinpoint what’s causing it.
Sometimes I just log into my wp-admin and SiteKit is disconnected, as if it was just installed and not yet configured. So I have to do the “connect to Google Account” process all over again, except the plugin is already authorized in my Google Account, then the process is much quicker and simpler, but still a nag.
I’ve seen other posts here saying the same, but I don’t use the “plugin” that is causing the problem in those posts.
I’m using Loco Translate as a language/translation plugin, if that matters.

  • Hey @diegora ,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

It might be possible the connection lost issue is due to the Loco Translate. Previously we have received couple of such issues that were caused by translation plugins. We make sure the compatibiltiy by reaching out to them.

Can you please let us know following things to understand more about this issue:

    1. The steps you take to encounter the lost connection (if known).
    2. Any particular configuration which you may have applied if this suddenly started to occur.
    3. Has this only started to occur since making hosting changes?

To troubleshoot this issue it’d be great if you can do following activities:

    1. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    2. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    3. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    4. Visit the Site Kit page again

You can exit troubleshooting mode afterwards.

    Thanks & Regards,

Hi, I have encountered the same problem on multiple sites. None of them has a translation plugin installed.
