Support » Plugin: WPtouch » Getting problem with iframe with wptouch pro

  • I have WP touch pro 2.6 installed in one of my sites. Now I need to display one of the pages of WP touch pro activated site on my another website using iframe. It is displaying properly on all browsers in a desktop PC. Whenever i attempt to open that page in a mobile , it gets redirected to iframe src.

    I need to solve this issue as soon as possible. Can someone help me out?
    I would appreciate your support.

    @sapan Gupta

    I had this same issue with WP Touch Pro. I went to and the person helping me was completely useless. His answers to my questions made it seem as if he didn’t even read my support ticket.

    I figured out on my own why this is happening.

    In the JavaScript file: wp-content/plugins/wp-touch-pro/themes/foundation/modules/base/base.js , there is a javascript function that is forcing the theme out of any frame (iframes included). Comment out the code for the function “wptouchFdnEscFrames” (should be two lines, around 5 and 203). Now if your WPTouch Pro site is in an iframe, it won’t redirect to the frame source URL.

    Sorry to hear you didn’t have a positive support experience. The code to bust out of frames is intentional; in some cases it can cause problems on some devices and generally speaking isn’t a good practice.

    By editing it you will prevent yourself from being able to update the plugin and receive future fixes and enhancements. We’ll add an advanced setting to prevent that from happening and allow you to control that behaviour.
