# Getting PHP errors trying to backup to Dropbox

 * I wiped the previous version and updated the plugin today and am still getting
   the same problem. When I try to email backups that works perfectly. When I switch
   to Dropbox it does not work.
 * The plugin says I appear to be authenticated with Dropbox, but when I save my
   settings and click the link to complete the authentication I get a message on
   the Dropbox website that says: The request to link the app is invalid.
 * When I try to run the backup in debug mode I get php errors that say:
    Warning:

 * Hi Brian,
 * Ah – reading the code and PHP manual, it looks like this is an issue that would
   affect people with PHP versions before 5.3.0 authenticating to Dropbox on a Windows
   platform.
 * I’ve made a fix in the development version; please de-install and re-install 
   this one and let me know how you get on:
