I am new to WordPress and wish to install it with the MultiSite feature turned “ON” at the outset. After reading some of the documentation, I’m just not sure whether I can achieve what I wish, which is to have all the blogs named like this:

    rootdomain.org/Blogs/blog1
    rootdomain.org/Blogs/blog2

etc., without subdomains. (My team believes this is more straightforward for our users. 🙂 Can I achieve this by

    1. installing WordPress in rootdomain.org/Blogs.
    2. Setting the path to that folder.
    3. More/other?

    Thanks!

I guess I should add this: Can I install WordPress into one directory, such as rootdomain,org/WordPress, then point it at rootdomain.org/Blogs, such that all the blogs come out named

    rootdomain.org/Blogs/blog1
    rootdomain.org/Blogs/blog2

    etc?

No. Multisite blows up in fugly ways if you try :/

You’d want to install in rootdomain.org/Blogs and go from there with sub-folders.
