Getting messages about update to older version

    I have gotten messages from several of my websites that say “Howdy! Your site at [domain name] has been updated automatically to WordPress 4.5.4.”

    The problem is I already updated them to 4.6.1.

    What is happening here??

    If they are at 4.6.1, then when you received that message did it go back to 4.5.4? Or are the websites still on 4.6.1 although it says that you have updated to 4.5.4.

    The second: the message SAYS it updated to 4.5.4, but when I went to look at it, it shows 4.6.1.

    Has this happened before? I am wondering if this is just a one time occurrence thing. If it isn’t actually updating your website, then I would almost just ignore it.

    No, it hasn’t happened before. I will ignore it, but if it happens again, I’ll check in. Thanks!
