Getting hits on Contact Form 7 Ajax call

  • I’ve had this as long as I can remember and never really bothered with it. I was searching around and didn’t find much info on this.

When I look at my wassup stats, I noticed I get a ton of hits on the ajax call for CF7. So, I get a hit on my page:

    site.com/blogpost1

Followed immediately by a hit on:

    site.com/blogpost1?_wpcf7_is_ajax_call=1&_wpcf7=

Plus, I sometimes see Googlebot crawling pages with the ?_wpcf7_is_ajax_call=1&_wpcf7= at the end.

I do have WP Super Cache installed. I read on one post its because the ajax call loads after the page loads? And that you can add an exception to WP Super Cache to stop it from happening? I tried adding it but got an error.

I’m not really concerned about it showing up in the stats. I’m more concerned about google crawling these pages.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
