# Getting going….

 * I’m very confused with wordpress, is it a application that I download, or is 
   it just based online…
    I host with Globat.com, and I installed wordpress on there
   via an automated installation, but how do I start building the site… If I installed
   via that installation on my cpanel, do I still need to do all the stuff with 
   changing the wordpress files and FTP etc… I can’t figure out how to get to the
   administration panel… Also, currently, when I go to my domain name, it brings
   me to were I registered the name, how do I associate the site I’m about to build
   with my domain name… I’m sorry for the tedious questions, but I’m very new to
   this, and I’ve been trying for days to figure most of it out via tutorials and
   FAQs, but I think I just need someone to explain it to me….Thanks in advance!!!

 * It’s an online application but before you can run it on your own site, you may
   have to download a zipped copy, unzip it and then use FTP to upload it to your
   web space.

 * when i type that in, [http://www.your_domain.com/wp-admin](http://www.your_domain.com/wp-admin),
   it just brings me to the same google homepage
 * how do i get to that admin section

 * You need to install WordPress first and then use your own domain name.
