Please install the health check plugin and verify your site runs on PHP version 5.3 or greater. http://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/

If it is not. You need to contact your hosting provider for them to upgrade. PHP 5.3 came out in 2010

“The larger issue with the CTA plugin” is the error: unexpected t_string on line 777. When I installed the Health Check plugin it returned the following response:

“Excellent: Your server is running PHP version 5.4.26 and MySQL version 5.5.30 which will be great for WordPress 3.2 onward.”

When I upgraded the PHP version it did fix one of the issues I was having creating forms with the landing pages and leads plugins.

I have the same issue, installed to try the plugin but get the following error

“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION “

    PHP version is PHP 5.4.18.

your ftp client might be mushing the code together.

This happened to me using Filezilla. You need to set the data transfer type to binary.

Some times your software installation might not work because you need to transfer your files in Binary . This video shows you where to change the transfer type in filezilla.
