Support » Plugin: TablePress » Getting “!ERROR! unexpected operator ‘='”

  • Resolved Deepak

    Hello,

If I add == in the table blocks then I get “!ERROR! unexpected operator ‘='” on the page during preview

To fix this I put them in \<code\> tag after which the output is fine.
But please check this, I think it may be a BUG

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This error is the result of TablePress interpreting the cell content as a math formula, as it starts with =. This is just like in Excel, where a = as the first character of the cell also initiates the formula parser.

You can turn that off, and have the cell be interpreted as string by prepending a ', i.e. use '== in the cells. The ' will not be shown then, but only the ==.

    Regards,
    Tobias
