@balakakomodo I’ve tested this with the latest version of WordPress and it seems to work fine here. I can only think there is a problem with the URL you are redirecting to. Do you have any redirects set up on your site?
Can you try changing the custom author URL to something else, for example https://google.com and see if it still causes the redirect loop?
@balakakomodo did you have any luck? You could also try using a tool like wheregoes.com to see what’s going on with the redirect.
@balakakomodo I’ll give it another week to see if you are able to respond, and then I’ll probably have to consider this resolved. If you do come back after a week I’ll reopen it.

Hi, thanks for following up, and apologies for the delayed reply.
Yeah I can set the URL to literally anything else and it works fine. Everything except the specific URL I want to use 🤦♂️😂
I can type in the URL and navigate to it directly (so wheregoes.com says everything is fine). It’s when clicking on the author link in a post with the plugin enabled that gives the error.
I’ve spent hours diagnosing why this particular URL gets stuck in a redirect loop. I even had my hosting look into it and it has them completely stumped too unfortunately.
It’s clearly not a problem with the plugin, so my apologies for wasting your time with this. Thanks again for trying to help though, much appreciated 😊
