 * Hi
 * I have a clean install with NextGEN 2.0.0 and NextGEN Gallery Voting 2.6.
 * When I activate just NextGEN, I can upload and create galleries fine, however
   when I activate Gallery Voting, it seems to try and upload the files (as it gets
   to 100%) but it then comes up with an HTTP ERROR and a small triangle icon come
   up.
 * I’ve updated my php.ini files to increase the upload and image sizes but still
   no joy.
 * Can anyone help please?

 * Hi codynew
 * I haven’t ever had anyone bring this up before, and it doesn’t happen on any
   of my test installs.
    When a new image is added, the voting plugin does hook
   into that process to save the default voting settings to it, but that shouldn’t
   be a memory intensive task.
 * Do you have any other plugins installed?

 * Hi [@shauno](https://wordpress.org/support/users/shauno/)
 * Only those two plugins I’ve mentioned. I’m using WordPress 3.6

 * Is there any chance you can email me access details to shaunalberts AT gmail
   DOT com? The only the way I can hope of understanding what’s happening is to
   see it and debug “live”.

 * Hi Shaun, Im going to email you an login now 🙂
 * Instead of making any actual changes, could you help us isolate what is going
   wrong and advise us on what changes we should make (so that we’re aware of what
   needs or needed to be done)
 * Thanks

 * Hi Summer
 * Can you explain how to replicate this? From after you login to WP, what buttons
   do you click, and what fields do you capture etc.
    I just need to be able to
   know exactly how to reproduce it so I can see if there is a problem.

 * This is resolved. I have released version 2.6.1 that adds compatibility with
   NGG v2 for this issue.
 * A very big thank you to [@codynew](https://wordpress.org/support/users/codynew/)
   for providing me a the info I needed to find and debug this in a “live” environment.

 * Hi – I realise you have solved this issue, but I have the same problem. HTTP
   error on upload with all but the smallest files. I’m using a Mac with Snow Leopard,
   and WordPress 3.6. I have added an HTaccess file as has been suggested in previous
   posts, but with no success. I have disabled all plugins. This seems a very common
   problem that has been reccurring for years, so surely it’s time for a once and
   for all fix? Can anyone help, PLEASE. Thank you

 * Hi Jokadesign
 * It sounds like you are reaching your file upload size limit just uploading images.
   This thread and resolution was about a problem with NGG **Voting** that was creating
   a problem.

 * Shauno – thanks a million for getting back to me on this. Yes, I know it was
   too general a question for this post, I was getting a bit desperate, sorry! Fact
   it I don’t know whether I have exceeded the size limit, but if the image is only
   335k, that seems unlikely. Is there a way to increase the limit? I’m a WordPress
   newbie, so thanks in advance for any pointers you can give me.

 * This is a general PHP thing, not so much a WP thing. The maximum file size you
   can upload is controlled by 2 settings in your PHP config. How you change these
   settings and even if you allowed to is controlled by your host though.
 * The settings are `post_max_size` and `upload_max_filesize`. If those values are
   set larger than the files you are trying to upload, and you are still getting
   an error, then you need to chat to the NGG devs.

 * Thanks again. I cannot think this is the problem then. If it was, the other sites
   on my VPS would be behaving the same way, as they’re all set up the same. And
   they are not. Thanks.
