[eShop] Getting a random PayPal error with eShop (5 posts)

I really hope someone can help, this is incredibly frustrating!

We've installed the latest version of eShop on our magazine's WordPress site, opened the pre-ordering process, and found that while half of our customers have been able to purchase the product successfully, the other half have been met with the error "Sorry, an error occurred after you clicked on the last link" after proceeding to the PayPal site.

It seems to be quite random: to give you some idea, we've had 241 successful orders and 204 failed attempts. However, those that have got the error keep getting it when they try again. Also, someone told me he was unable to order using Internet Explorer but had no problems with Firefox.

We've got a Premium PayPal account, which I understand is more than sufficient.

We're losing hundreds of potential customers. Please help!

have you checked with paypal? because eShop will be sending to the correct place, and the error is at paypal's end.

We're currently trying to get in touch with PayPal.

However I understand that opening a new window or tab when transferring to the PayPal site fixes the problem. Anyone know if this might be the case and, if so, how do we go about it?

    Thanks in advance,

That's not a solution that I've ever heard of.
