[Resolved] Getting a fatal error after attempting auto WordPress update

  • I updated the site yesterday and it was fine. I was alerted it was time to update so I installed “UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore”, clicked auto update and didn’t pay it anymore attention.

Today I logged in to post and received the following message when attempting to save a draft:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_unslash() in /home/ayejoh46/nubianingenue.com/wp-admin/includes/post.php on line 630

I get nothing at all when attempting to preview the post, and when I tried to uninstall the “Updraft Backup program” Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_unslash() in /home/ayejoh46/nubianingenue.com/wp-admin/includes/post.php on line 85.

So then, I read to upload every file from the update except the “wp-content” folder. I’m lost as to what to do next as I’m clearly not good at writing code. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
