[Resolved] getting 404 page not found error while trying to access add new plugin / themes

  • Log in to your server using FTP and check if those two files are actually present in your /wp-admin directory.

    @senff I did all basic trouble shooting but it not working. I would really appreciate if you or someone help to solve this issue.

    Log in to your server using your FTP program.

    Then navigate to the folder WP-ADMIN. In there, you will see a lot of files. Check if the files plugin-install.php and theme-install.php are there.

    My dear Friend @senff why are you beating around the bush, as already told you that i tried all the basic trouble shooting for this issue like

    1) checked these two files are available or not.
    2) deleted all plugin one by one and then check it.
    3) replace these two files with newly downloaded wordpress files.

    but still it not working.

    I got the solution for this, its just about PHP version issue. wordpress or wordpress plugins of wordpress 3.8 does not work with PHP 5.4.
