    Hi @wolfgangsch

I’m glad you reached out. Let me help you with this one.

You’re probably right, this might be related to an ongoing issue when using WP 6.7.x. To check this, I recommend downgrading your WordPress version to 6.6.2, and see if that resolves the issue.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks for the reply.

Since this is happening on a productive site, downgrading might create more issues than it solves.

Also, the downgrade to 6.6.2 was tested without success in the the similar issue report: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/issue-with-displaying-past-events-and-malformed-urls-in-the-events-calendar/

    Therefor I’d rather wait for a solution/fix.

    Hi @wolfgangsch

    Thanks for your response.

I’d still recommend downgrading your WordPress version to 6.6.2, as it’s possible the issue you’re experiencing isn’t an exact replica of the one mentioned in the thread you shared.

As always, if possible, replicate the issue on a staging version of your live site first before making changes. If you don’t have a staging site yet, you can use the WP Staging plugin to create one easily.

Let me know how it goes

    Hi @wolfgangsch

I hope everything is going smoothly for you. I just wanted to touch base and inquire if you had the opportunity to review my previous response as it has been some time since we last heard from you.

    Looking forward to your reply.

While I cannot simply downgrade the productive site, I tried to duplicate the issue on an earlier test site clone.

After updating that clone to WP 6.7.1 with TEC 6.9.0 I could not duplicate the issue there.

The productive site with the error:

WP 6.7.1 with TEC 6.9.0 and twenty twenty-four theme

    Language: German

    Event(s) slug: “veranstaltungen”/”veranstaltung”

The invalid list/month switch links in the events view show as “https://[baseurl]/veranstaltungen/(/?:list)/” and “https://[baseurl]/veranstaltungen/(/?:month)/”

The test site without the error:

WP 6.7.1 with TEC 6.9.0 and Gutenix theme

    Language: German

    Event(s) slug: “veranstaltungen”/”veranstaltung”

The correct list/month switch links in the events view show as “https://[baseurl]/veranstaltungen/liste/” and “https://[baseurl]/veranstaltungen/monat/”

Manually changing the bad “(/?..)” links to “list” or “month” results in 404 errors.

Doing another test on my backup clone site, I tried changing the theme.

After changing themes from “Gutenix” to “Twenty twenty-four” the error occurred, showing the same invalid links.

Even after switching back to Gutenix, the error remained, which leaves me with 2 broken sites.

    Hi @wolfgangsch ,

Thank you for your message, and I’m sorry to hear of the continued difficulties.

With Loco Translate, kindly try moving the language files from the plugin folder to WordPress’ parent language folder (see video: https://www.loom.com/share/620e1be3491e4f4e9e56fbd2ecd6984f).

After doing the above, regenerate your permalinks (see How to Regenerate Your Permalinks in WordPress), and see if that alleviates the situation.

    Hi @wolfgangsch

We just released a new version of our plugin that we believe should resolve the issue you reported.

Please update all your plugins, and if you’re still experiencing the issue let us know!

    (@wolfgangsch)

Thanks Darian, the plugin update to v6.9.1 seems to have fixed the problem on both our sites.

    Hi @wolfgangsch

Thanks for your confirmation and I’m glad that it is now working.

If you have some time to review, that would be amazing!
