Getting 404 Error not_found using Hide Backend Feature

Has anyone been experiencing a 404 error when trying to reset user passwords using the following function: /wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

I am using the hide backend feature of the Pro version of the plugin and all users who lock themselves out of my WP site are now sending us angry emails because they are not able to reset their password using the reset password link on WP.

I put in a ticket to iThemes, Michael Moore gave me the runaround. He says the bug has been known for a very long time, but they’re not doing anything to fix it. No timeline, no idea when it will be fixed, no nothing. The only solution he could give me was to simply disable the hide backend feature. We have agents working in a call center on our platform, and changing the login slug would create absolute chaos! Not to mention expose the wp-admin function to the internet.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, what have you done to mediate this garbage plugin’s faults?
