    Hi Tejas

Please, try going to Settings > Permalinks and clicking Save.

    Hi,

After testing few content type, i found that whenever i use word “from” in content, it takes me to 404 page, for any other content it works fine.

Can you please have a look and test?

    Regards
    Tejas

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your reply.

But it is not a problem of permalink.
It is occurring when you try to edit a page and Update.

Have you reset permalinks by saving? It takes just a moment and is a standard step in troubleshooting 404’s.

We can use the word from in content without a 404 on save.

    Hi Andrew,

Yes, i just updated permalinks and try editing page.
But on Update, it shows 404 page.

Thanks. Please, move onto a plugin conflict test to rule that out. If you’re caching, clear your cache. Then deactivate all non-SiteOrigin plugins in one go, test again, does the issue resolve?

I just disabled all plugins except site origin.

“Page Builder by SiteOrigin” and “SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle” are active plugins.

    But still getting 404 🙁

Next, keep all non-SiteOrigin plugins deactivated and switch to a default theme like Twenty Sixteen, repeat the test.

If the problem is occurring on an existing page, be sure to test on a new page too to see if there is a difference in results.

Yes, i switched theme to default twenty fifteen and editing existing page, got 404 page.

Then created a new page and copy same content. It works for first time.
And when edit this new created page, again got 404.

Test with Twenty Fifteen and no other plugins in a new page but don’t copy content, add any demo text.

Yes, with dummy content it is working but when i copy the actual page content i want to publish, it takes me to 404.

What should i do in this case?

Edit the page, go to Layouts > Import/Export, download the layout, upload it to any cloud storage site and send us the link so we can take a look.

Here is the page layout link:

I have tried editing the content but each time if i use “from” word, it breaks the update and goes to 404 page.

Thanks, I can’t see any issue with that layout. Please, send a link to the page concerned so we can take a look at the live page.

If the string “from” is triggering the error then there is a good chance this is an Apache issue related to mod_security. Reach out to your hosts and ask them if mod_security is enabled and if so, are you getting blocked?
