Gets install menu on restored database

  • I just restored two wordpress sites on the same machine.
    One worked fine, just reloaded the wordpress database, go!

    But the other asks me to install wordpress with wp-admin/install.php

    I assume that it does not recognize the data in wp_options, but what should I look for?

    wp-includes/version.php cootains the same versions for both sites
    $wp_version = ‘3.0’;
    $wp_db_version = 15260;

    And that is the version found in wp_options.

  • Have you restored the database for the 2nd one?

    Yes I have restored the database and wp_options looks ok.
    Also I checked that apache error log does not have any errors.

    OK, here was the reason, The is_blog_installed function suppresses errors, and as a result i do not see this:
    [“last_error”]=> string(75) “SELECT command denied to user ‘techblog’@’localhost’ for table ‘wp_options'”
