Support » Plugin: weDocs - Knowledgebase and Documentation Plugin for WordPress » get_header() returns empty for pages in second language

  • Resolved turzifer

Hi, I have been using wedocs for 1-2 years now and I am happy with it.

Recently, I changed the theme on one of my multilingual sites. After that wedocs stopped bringing the header to the doc pages in English (in the primary language, Turkish works fine).

I tried several things, including disabling many of the plugins but could not find a solution.

Currently I am using an alternative single-docs.php in my theme to add some classes to some elements. I tried with and without it. There is no difference. The header is not there in the English version.

I suspect, for some reason the get_header() function returns empty in the English pages. Or perhaps it is skipped all together.

Can you suggest any reasons, solutions?

It was not related to the wedocs it was about the theme.

It turned out that the translations i did with the previous theme lacked a “specific” field about the header. I had to go through all the original posts and resave them, so the field is added to the post meta data.

Selecting them in the posts page and editing them in batch did not work. I had to open and save each.
