get_events_relative_to() Developer docs

On v1 I had been using get_events_relative_to() to give me a list of upcoming events on my homepage.

With v2 I see that this function has moved into a different class, and that its usage is different. Can you let me know how to retrieve an array of events, like this:

$events = get_events_relative_to( $now, 5 );
foreach ($events as $event) {
  // echo event formatted to my liking
}

Also, is there any developer documentation?
