get_custom_logo() error

    I am trying Bento out as a replacement for Azoom. When I enable the theme I get a “Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_custom_logo() in /home/pbdigest/public_html/test/wp-content/themes/bento/includes/template-tags.php on line 60” message. I see the function in the functions.php file, but it doesn’t appear to be working… Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Carl,

    thanks for choosing Bento!

    It looks like you’re using an old version of WordPress on your website (4.4.2); the get_custom_logo() is a core function, but it was introduced since WP ver 4.5.0 (April 2016), hence the error message. It should disappear when you upgrade your instance of WordPress to the latest version 😉

    P.S. we will also update the theme’s code to account for this issue, it will go live with the next update – but I highly recommend updating WordPress core as quickly as possible in any case
