• hi,

thanks for the great ‘sirup’ theme, that i use for networking cultural activities along the danube river: http://www.dunablog.de

there is a problem that i can not solve it, as i do not know much about digging into the php files. When i click on ‘comments’ of an entry, this note shows up:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_avatar() in /var/www/web391/html/wp-content/themes/sirup/comments.php on line 8″

could you help please and let me know what to do exactly.

    thanking you.
    regards
    glorian

  • nice site Glorian! not able to help you, but got a couple of questions instead, hope you dont mind.

How are you able to change the colour of the default yellow highlighter to green? Also, how did you get more than one post to appear on your frontpage? mine is showing only 1 🙁 Thanks for your help.

You need to check for the comment file of your theme. Refer this URL

@ryan_ thanks for the information. i will go and check at the URL these days.

@vlke_ go to the style.css via FTP, you find it here:
    wp-content > themes > sirup > style. css

open style.css with a text editor of your choice and replace all the yellow color codes (#FFFD87) with the code of the color you want use.

    frontpage:
did you go to ‘themes > sirup options’ and check the settings there?
or did you create a ‘page’ instead of an ‘entry’? all posts should appear.
    did you check the categories?

    hope this helps

    can anyone help out there?

the bookmark/share button (via share button plug in) doesn’t show in posts, with the setting ‘blog/lead story’, in sirus options. it only shows in the ‘lead story’ feature.

whereas it shows in all posts when i apply the settings ‘magazine/lead story’ and ‘blog/no lead story’.

    where is the bug???

    thanks for your help.
