Get rid of Category or Tag words in the titles of Archives lists pages

    Hi,

    I´m searching for a plugin that let me get rid of the Category or Tag words in archive pages names (in category and tag lists pages). I just want the name of the Category or Tag to be the title of the archives list pages. Is it possible with this plugin? Is it safe or can mess my database or wordpress org installation? IF anything goes wrong, can I revert to previous “clean” state of my system? How can I know if my theme uses the_archive_title() for showing archive titles?

    Hi there,

    Yes, you can get rid of the Category and Tag words. Just insert %s as your title, which will be replaced with the name of the category and tag.

    The plugin uses the archive_title filter to change the archive titles and does not make any changes to the database. It is very safe to use. By deactivating the plugin the default archive titles will show again.
