Hello everyone

i am using this <?php the_title();?> to get the title for my pages, but when i use it for the page that my posts are in, the latest posts title comes up and not title of that page, does any one know a way around this?

For anyone was having this problem, use <?php echo get_the_title($ID) ?> and replace the id variable with the id of the page u want to display

example:
<?php if( is_home() && get_option('show_on_front') == 'page' ) { echo get_page(get_option('page_for_posts'))->post_title; } else { the_title(); } ?>

is_home() checks for the posts page; http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/is_home

get_option('show_on_front') returns either ‘page’ or ‘posts’;

get_option('page_for_posts') returns the page ID of the posts page;

get_page() gets the page data for the page ID; http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_page

get_option(); http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_option
