Get permalinks to reflect subdomain
-
Hi,
I am trying to get my links in my WordPress site to reflect a subdomain. Example:
I want http://skware.kristineharperdesign.com/wp/category/jewellery/
Instead I have http://www.kristineharperdesign.com/wp/category/jewellery/I have gone through many of the past posts on here that seemed slightly related. From what I understand, this has to do with permalink structure and how WordPress gets confused if the subdomain is not “real” but “virtual”. That being said, I still do not know how, or if, it can be resolved.
kristineharperdesign.com is hosted by Netfirms. The subdomain “skware” is pointed to “kristineharperdesign.com/wp”. Netfirms does not create a new directory for “skware”.
In WordPress, I have changed the WordPress Address to http://skware.kristineharperdesign.com. Between this and setting up the skware subdomain to point to the wp directory in Netfirm’s domain manager, the home page reflects the correct URL (skware.kristineharperdesign.com). Whenever another link is clicked however (like clicking a post), the URL will change to http://www.kristineharperdesign.com/wp/etc.
Is there anyway to correct this?
Thanks in advance =)
