    Hi,
Yesterday I have created my first template in Pods. Works great. This morning (The Netherlands) I tried to create a new one. Sadly the system throws me a 500 error. what ever I try it still persists. Cleared caches, restart of the browser, tried another browser, restart machine, deactivate plugin and activated it again and finally removed the plugin and re-installed it again.

    All no avail.
At last I found out that it occurs when the Yoast plugin is active see below the Debug log below:

I have send an email over to Yoast to look into this matter but I think it is a good idea to look into it.

    All help is much appreciated.
I can manage to get my work done by deactivating yoast and reactivate it when I’m done but this situation is not ideal as you can imagine.

    Thanks in advance,
    Best wishes,

    Adri

I don’t see Pods listed in any of your errors above. What kind of template? PHP Theme Template or a Pods Template? Ideally, for items like this, they should be worked in a bug report as per our Support Policy

If you’ve uncovered a Bug or have a Feature Request, we kindly request you to create an Issue on our GitHub Repository at https://github.com/pods-framework/pods/issues/new. Please be very specific about what steps you did to create the issue you’re having and include any screenshots or other configuration parameters to help us recreate or isolate the issue.

    Hi Jim,
Thank you for your quick reply. The fatal error occurs when I try to create a new Pods Template. Existing ones are just fine and editable. I’m also able to create new Pods.

Like I said, it is only happening when the Yoast SEO plugin is active. Therefor I’m not sure it is a Pods bug or a Yoast one.

I already contacted Yoast about it but nothing useful came back to me so far.
As soon as know more I will let you know here or create an issue at the Github repository.

If it’s a conflict, then definitely put out the GitHub report. That’s an unusual one.

    Hi Jim,
Yesterday late afternoon my MAMP installation crashed. I’ve tried to restore it from y TimeMachine backup (MAMP + Databases) but MAMP refuses to start the MySql server. Maybe I missed a file I’m not aware of. So I have decided to restore my machine completely to a state that it worked an try to solve the problem from there.
It could be a corrupted database as the theme developer has reported (several fields such as PRIMARY are missing i several tables.

If so, weird behavior could be expected…..

It could be related or maybe even the cause of the problems I have.
    I keep you posted.

Okay, this was a local installation, got it. Might I recommend Local by Flywheel?

If you’re still having issues after rebuilding/restoring your site, please open a new ticket. I have a feeling this is probably related to your MAMP installation being corrupted.

Hi Jim, just to let you know….
    It seems to be solved.
As it turned out (at least until now) a database entry was corrupt.
One of the theme_mod_abcd_child entries was corrupt.

Now I’m live again on my local machine I’m gonna work again with Pods and hope for the best.

If needed I will post a new thread.

    Thanks for your effort.
