German language in All in One Seo Pack

    Hi,

    On the side https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack yesterday I saw that the German language translation for the plugin is 100 % complete. Then I downloaded, installed and activated the plugin version 2.2.7.4. But all texts in the plugin displayed only in English, although the German language file “all-in-one-seo-pack-de_DE.mo” exists.

    Semper Fi Web Design says to me they have no more influence on it. This is now handled by code on WordPress.org which they don’t have control over or access to. The system is support for give priority to the translation file in the plugin, if there is no translation file then the translation comes from the WordPress.org language pack. This is not working for the German translation and Semper Fi Web Design don’t know why. The code is on WordPress.org and is managed by the WordPress.org development team. There is no documentation for developers yet so Semper Fi Web Design is in the dark. According to the users, the translations worked fine before WordPress.org added the plugin to this new system.

    Where is the mistake and how and when it will be fixed?

    Hi there,

    the problem is solved. Fi Web Design provides the plugin still with their own language files. After deleting these files everything is o.k.
