    Hey,

I got a problem with the generation of my PDF-Invoices.
Every german umlaut (mutation) “Ä,Ü,Ö” is replaced with an “?” and found no solution. I suppose it has something to do with the charset of the database?

    Hope you can help me,
    greetings.

Hello! I think this is related to a missing PHP library, the plugin needs MB String to function correctly. Do you see any red fields on the PDF Invoices > Status page?

Yes – the point WP Memory Limit hast got these entries:

    Required:
Recommended: 128MB (more for plugin-heavy setups)

    Present:
    WordPress: 40M, PHP: 256M

Thank you, for this fast response!

    EDIT:

The MBString extension is disabled (yellow field): “No. Recommended, will use fallback functions”

So how do I enable it?

Yes, that’s it! Contact your host, usually it’s just a simple click to enable the MB String extension.
