In the WordPress post editing screen under WP 3.3.2, under the Location section, you used to be able to click “Map Location” and have it appear in the geo map below it. However now, you click on it and it takes you to the very top of the post editing page… and essentially does nothing.
You can still add names and addresses, which then make it into the wp_geopress tables. However, now no geo-coordinates ever make it into the table. I’ve had to resort to using a site like:
to re-enter the address and look up the lat/long coordinates, and then manually edit them in the database by adding them to the coord field.
I know this plugin has been years since an update, so if anyone has recommendations on what I might consider migrating to instead (to geotag posts and embed maps in them) and how to do that, that would be a very helpful answer as well as a fix.
