Geolocation causing 503 error?

    Hi,
    I recently updated WordPress to 4.9.8, woocommerce to 3.4.7, as well as PHP version on my server (7.2.6).

    My website looks working fine but I’m getting 503 error in the logs (and I received far fewer orders today).
    It begins with “geoip-2018-11-09-…” and the log says “2018-11-10T00:17:08+00:00 WARNING The value “503 Over Quota Error Over Quota This application is temporarily over its serving quota. Please try again later.” is not a valid IP address”.

    Does the geolocation cause this error?
    (I have GeoLite2-country.mmdb set in uploads folder)

    Hey there!

    Is that the full log entry? If not, can you please share the full entry?

    Also, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.  Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    And the log says: 2018-11-11T13:27:45+00:00 WARNING The value “503 Over Quota Error Over Quota This application is temporarily over its serving quota. Please try again later.” is not a valid IP address.

    And here’s the system status. It’s in Japanese but you should know what is listed.

    Hi, it seems like your server software is sending through an error code and message in the IP Address header which is causing the IP check to fail. It won’t cause an issue as it is just a warning to let you know that something was sent in a header that was suppose to contain a valid IP address.

    All I can suggest is asking your host why they are sending error codes and messages as part of the IP Address header, and then also ask them why you would get a 503 error as that is something on their side and not WooCommerce.
