# GeoIP Database

 * Hello,
    I set this plugin up on a wordpress site a few months ago and now am 
   helping a friend set his up. I cannot find where to download the database any
   longer and so thought I’d download a copy of the one I had used. But I can’t 
   find where the database lives up on the server. What is the location that the
   DB would be at in the directory structure? I’m assuming I’d upload it to the 
   same location on my friend’s setup.

 * Download the GeoIP2 Country database from: [http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoLite2-Country.tar.gz](http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoLite2-Country.tar.gz)
 * Unzip the GeoIP2 database and upload the GeoLite2-Country.mmdb file to your upload
   dir usually /wp-content/uploads/GeoLite2-Country.mmdb

 * Hi Pascal –
    I found the db file in my uploads – but I didn’t put it there. I’m
   wondering how it got there… might it have been installed by Woo Commerce? Or 
   Wordfence?
