Genesis eNews Extended plugin not working

    Hi, I’ve followed the instructions on this recommended video (https://youtu.be/wjU9yJ8eN3M) a few times but I’m noticing a few issues.

    1. Once the form is completed, it doesn’t open up a confirmation page nor does it show the confirmation and next steps. I have double confirmation with mailchimp.

    2. The mailchimp email list doesn’t get updated with new sign ups.

    3. The person signing up is supposed to receive an email as part of a double-opt-in and and this doesn’t happen either.

    4. The latest update of the plug-in says that it has a link to the Privacy policy but this is not seen on my website.

    1-3 were happening before the latest update of the plug-in and they persist after the update.

    Following along – I’ve had the same issue with #4 – the link to the privacy policy isn’t showing up on my site.

    I’ve fixed 1-3. 4. The latest update of the plug-in says that it has a link to the Privacy policy but this is not seen on my website.

    So 4 is still outstanding.

    I’ve fixed it with the help of my Theme support team. I realised I had the wrong/default privacy page selected.

    1. Option for the “Display link to privacy policy? ” is checked in the widget’s settings (I had this)

    2. A privacy policy page is set at WordPress settings at WP Admin -> Settings -> Privacy. (My error was having the default Privacy Policy Page rather than the one based on my lawyer’s template)

    Just for clarity is a WP page for privacy for people who don’t know how to code a link? Or is there another benefit?
