General stock = sum of variations’ stock

How did y’all manage to replace the product stock with the sum of variations’ stock?

I had zero luck finding a working solution.

We keep track of actual products – the variations (Medium size shirt for example), but the general stock is always 0, as they are nonsense products. How do I replace the general stock value with the sum of variation stocks?
