I am building a WordPress site ( a movie blog) and I am adding YouTube videos of movie trailers.

These are random videos that I have found on the web, and I am merely copying and pasting the URLs in order to display them.

Short of regular manual checks I have no reliable method of ensuring that they haven’t been deleted.

Does Broken Link Checker check this sort of thing?

If not, I would be grateful for any suggestions that may deal with the problem.

    Hi @mc1969

I hope you are doing good today.

I don’t think this will be possible at this point, as WP core by default changes the youtube link into inframe for a long time. If URL is bad it simply displays this URL as text, not a link.

I asked our BLC Team does new version we working on, could include feature.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

    Hi Kris

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

I suspected that this might be the case, but I think it would definitely be a worthwhile inclusion in the next version of BLC.

I would be surprised if I am the only one who has ever considered this potential problem.

    Regards

    Michael
