Title: General Query Last modified: May 20, 2024 --- # General Query * Resolved [mmk175](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mmk175/) * (@mmk175) * [1 year, 11 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/general-query-5/) * Hi there, * I am hoping you can help me with a query about widgets and visibility. * I use a plugin called filter everything which uses a widget within the side bar with internal settings allowing me to create a filter and specify which page I want it to display on. * However, some pages have a small number of products and do not require a filter but because I have a widget within my side bar it causes a large amount of white space to appear on the left hand side. I would suggest disabling the sidebar. Wouldn’t hiding the widgets leave a large blank space on the left/right hand side of the desktop views then? * Maybe I am unaware of a way to use widgets where this wouldn’t happen. When the sidebar is enabled, its appearance depends on how your widgets are set up. Most of the website owner enabled sidebar to showcase a block or widget and that is where Widget Options plugin comes in, to customize and add logical conditions when to show/hide a certain widget or block.
