General options not able to update

    When I set the images gallery to wp-content/uploads and save it reverts to wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery saying Warning: “photo-gallery” folder already exists in uploads directory. Old value is restored.
    When I try to add images, the location is shown as wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery/photo-gallery /
    I also have images in a folder, ie spain. If I change the setting to wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery/spain then save it and go to add images is shows
    wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery/spain/photo-gallery /
    I am unable to set the gallery to where I want and if I try to reset All Options it initially shows wp-content/uploads but when I save it goes back

    How do I fix this

    @bsteven17,

    Thanks for contacting us. First of all I would like to mention that you cannot use wp-content/uploads for any other uploads rather than within Media Library. That’s WordPress limitation due to security (not allowing to use its native folder for any third-party plugin).

    Overall, do not change any path name or try relocating them. Keep up with default options, since this messes up the database of our plugin, which is essential for storing images. Thank you.

    Thank you for your reply – but does not answer the question where I set my
    option to wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery/spain but when I go to add images it says wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery/spain/photo-gallery /
    It is adding an extra photo-gallery and if I try to use the UP arrow, nothing happens so I cannot get to my spain folder?

    @bsteven17,

    The issue happened after you tried to change the path. It automatically adds that photo-gallery at the end. Please first remove all created folders. Return to the original path of photo gallery and only after that start adding folders. Thank you.
