Hello there. I just downloaded your theme today and need a bit of help. I am a novice when it comes to getting things done just so but do know my way around a website. Do you offer chat sessions? I’ve got a few questions that I could quickly get through with that option.

  • Sorry for late reply… it’s been a crazy last few days. Anyway, for support, you can submit your questions to the Support tab on this theme’s page. For setup tutorials, I have these on my site here:

Thanks so much. The tutorial is just what I needed. I am having a problem: the customize option is not letting me choose my home page as a static front page. It is not in the drop down list of pages to choose from. I have added another page for the blog but without being able to choose the existing home page as static, I cannot appropriate my posts to the newly created blog page. Have I done something wrong?

Choosing which page to use for your new front page is part of the WP functionality, so if it’s not cooperating in the WP customizer, best to do it from Settings >> Reading

I tried that as well. The Home page does not show as an option for me to select.

I know this might sound strange, but you know for sure your page is created and is live (not in draft or private setting)?

I don’t mind you asking. Yes it is live…although now you make me question.

Is that your home page you made without content in it? Also, does your blog have posts (I didn’t see any).

By the way, I like those social icons.

Yes, the home page has no content because I’m still trying to format it. I’ve not added any blog posts yet.

I absolutely love the static page on the demo site and would like to mirror its format. I finally got the blog format moved to the “blog” page but when I do so, I lose the header image on the home page. And I still haven’t gotten it to be static yet. Been working on this for hours and am totally frustrated.

Finding the social icons was the highlight of my day. Glad you like them.

I’m guessing from the first look that you have your two pages made and assigned…however, to help you out, I can take a look from your admin side if you will allow me to log into your dashboard?

I will check to make sure it’s not a theme issue, and will see what is happening. If it’s ok, I will also make a sample post with some text.

Don’t post your login info here though, contact me from my site’s contact page.

please do, by all means. should I post my admin stuff publicly?

    no not publicly…contact me HERE

    done, thank you.

OK, done. First thing I noticed is that on your Settings >> Reading, you did not select the “A Static Page” option, even though you selected your page for the blog posts. I did that for you.

I also did not know what page was to be your home page so I created one for you as a sample and then assigned it as the front page. The page I named it after your site’s name and labeled the menu link for the page as “Home” on your main menu.

I also made a sample blog post for you just to make sure it posted ok.

Was I suppose to create a new “Home” page? I was trying to format the existing one, as the template came with a home and sample page. Was that the problem? Maybe that’s why it wasn’t listed in the pages list or available for me to choose from in the customize and settings windows. If so, I feel really silly.

Thank you so much, I sincerely appreciate your help and your design is awesome.

    Take care.

You can use any page as your new front page, but I did not know what one you had for it so I made one. You can delete mine and use whichever one you have.

Anyway, looks like it was just one little thing that was missed which was the Reading Setting. You’re good to go with building your site.

Unless you have any additional questions relating to this topic, I’m guessing this one can be set to resolved?
