General duplication question

Sorry for this stupid question but I just want to verify before I use this plugin. When you say duplicate a website that means that once i successfully duplicate it I can change the images and pages on one and it will not change the other right? They will initially look identical but I will be able to customize them to look different afterwards? I know this is probably the dumbest question ever but i figured id make sure.
