    Hi Nico,

WP Mail SMTP doesn’t store or track user information in any way, but rather changes the method of email delivery. So while SMTP is not involved in the issues addressed by GDPR, any plugins that are responsible for the collection of user information would be (such as a forms plugin, etc).

In all circumstances, we strongly recommend you consult directly with legal counsel familiar with the GDPR regulations to review your specific use of any plugin that collects user information.

For general information on GDPR compliance, here’s our doc on the subject (specifically pertains to our central plugin, WPForms): https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-create-gdpr-compliant-forms/

    I hope this helps!
